Summer Workshop 2023

Like other years , We the Nrityanjalee family participates in the summer workshop organised by the Department of Cultural affairs, Govt. Of Assam and District Administration of Jorhat dated from 15th July 2023 to 24 July 2023. This participation has gained a special dimension in the cultural journey of Nrityanjalee , a classical dance music show that is set to mark the silver jubilee year.

The afrosaid summer workshop was held at Jorhat Bahana Higher Secondary Boys' School from 15th July 2023 to 24 July 2023 with 77 participants of the locality. The closing ceremony of the workshop was held at Jaihind Theatre Auditorium of Jorhat Tarajan Sonari village at 11 pm on July 24, 2023. Sangeet Natak Akademi award winner Manik Barbayan Deb of Titabar Bhogpur Satra inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp.

A welcoming speech was given by Jorhat Assembly member, Honourable Hitendra Nath Guswami. Chief Executive Officer of Jorhat Zilla Parishad Pavitra Kumar Das, Jorhat East Revenue Circle Officer Kirtika Sharma, Jaihind Theatre President Pawan Bordoloi, Nrityanjali Advisor Runu Barua, Nrityanjali President Surendra Nath Saikia, Wad Member Ilora Bordoloi, Director of Nrityanjali and trainer Anjali Barbora Borthakur were also present on the occasion.

The event was addressed by noted theatre personality Deepak Nath. The theme of the play was highlighted by trainee Bhagyalakshmi Neog. The training was supported by Manoranjan Bora, Swaswati Goswami, Pranab Dutta and Robin Bora with the chief trainer Sangeet Natak Akademi Bismillah Khan awardee Anjali Barbara Borthakur. At the end of 10 days of training, the students were able to perform the play "Kelly Gopal" which indicates that the participants have an inner feeling to uplift our traditions and culture.

The Govt. of Assam and your Administration has taken a good initiative in this regard and We expect the same initiative in near future for our learners from you and Govt. of Assam.
