A heavenly feeling it was…


Satttriya Kendra Guwahati of Sangeet Natak akademi, Ministry of culture Government of India presented  NRITYA PARVA from 15th to 18th November with the graceful presence of some eminent artists and researchers working in the field of Sattriya culture.

I am proud to say that, even though I participated as a Sattriya dancer in the earlier sessions of Nrityaparva, this year I was invited as a resource person for this wonderful happening. It’s a dream come true for me. The subject for the session was “Exposition of Rasa aesthetic in Sattriya dance with special reference to Drishtiveda”.


My hard work and soulful preparation finally came out as a success. My presentation was highly appreciated by the eminent personalities present there starting from the chairperson Naren Patgiri sir,Bayanachaya Ghanakanta Bora Borbayan adhayapak, Satttriya exponent Sharodi Saikia baideu,Dr. Pradeep Jyoti Mahanta sir, eminent dramatist Dulal Roy sir, Sattriya Guru Tileshwar Tamuly sir, researcher of Sattriya music Khagen Sarma sir, Satttriya exponent Anita sharma baideu,  Ranjumani Saikia baideu Rinjumani Saikia baideu, chairperson of Sattriya kendra, Ratan Hazarika sir and social worker Dr.Sikha bezboruah Goswami baideu.


I am highly obliged to get this opportunity to involve myself in this beautiful and respectful event of “Nrityaparva".
